The digital gauges from Sony® are high-presicion measurement instruments with a resolution up to 0.1 µm. They work after the mature sony-magnescale-principal and delivers a incremantal output signal. For the direct connection to the SPS or to a positional display, these are the ideal instruments for the automated assembly. A special recording head garanties the extreme pitch accuracy. The more-column reading head generated out of the magnetized example on the gauge corresponding signal. The generated analog signal from the reading head, is electronically divided and digitized.

Brandname change from „Sony“ to „Magnescale“

After the 1st of April 2010, the logo on the products, manuals and packages for Digital Gauges from Sony will be replaced to the brandname “Magnescale“. There will be no changes in performance, specifications and quality of the products. In the transfer phase of 2010, it might be possible that the customers receive products with the name Sony and Magnescale.
